Cleaning the mess

[It didn't take very long at all to handle the drug dealing gang, Mikoto and the others making quick work of it. There wasn't anything left behind other than the smell of charred flesh and packs of drugs lingering around.

Izumo was quick to take control, helping Shouhei's friend out with Totsuka and Anna, telling them to take her to the nearest hospital while he checked on their troublesome members. While the others checked the rest of the warehouse, he checked on Shouhei and Bandou, taking note of their injuries and which ones were major enough to go to the hospital.

Naturally, it was Bandou who has to go to the hospital as Izumo notices the broken arm and the deep cuts.

He shoos Shouhei away, reassuring him everything will be alright and told him to check on his friend. As for Bandou, Izumo has his jacket pressed against the bleeding injury — the main one — in order to stem the bleeding while he helps him to the car.

A quick call to Totsuka to inform him where he's going, hearing an affirmative that they'll handle the clean up. Somewhat assured, Izumo has Bandou in the car before slipping into the driver's seat, not hesitating to start driving to the hospital.]

[ He wants to protest that observation but he's suddenly feeling woozy, probably from the blood loss and overall exhaustion from the events. He wavers a bit as he's helped out of the van, and is grateful for the support to lean against.

It's amazing how someone who seems so fed up with them all of the time can also be so caring. Some of them had never known anyone like that before joining HOMRA, so having it now, from someone who is under no obligation, is a comfort they've all desperately needed.

They remain in the waiting room for a good time and Bandou sits limply in his chair, eyes closed and trying to thing of anything but the pain. ]

[Izumo handles everything — from the paperwork to talking to the doctor.

He stays by Bandou, though, keeping his cut compressed and keeping him awake. He checks to make sure the younger man is still conscious, his own fingers twitching just the slightest bit. However, he breathes out when the doctor finally comes out, standing up to assist him bringing Bandou into one of the rooms.

Once he's sure Bandou is in capable hands, Izumo steps out of the room, giving the doctor a moment to inspect the injuries more carefully in case something was missed.]

[ Bandou still wobbles slightly as he stands, but he makes it to the room and sits heavily upon the hospital bed.

It will be a bit before he's coming back out, wheeled there in a wheel chair, as mandatory by the hospital. His arm has been tended to, wrapped in a cast that is supported by a long sling around his neck. He still looks woozy, but the pain is subsiding due to the pain killers he's been given.

[What Bandou was inside, Izumo's making calls to everyone in the Clan — or rather, made a call to Totsuka to keep him updated on the situation. He listens to how the clean up went, a soft sigh escaping from him as he heard about Yata's method of 'cleaning'.

If he wanted to leave, he could've, and had Totsuka come escort Bandou home instead, but Izumo wasn't quite done with him yet. It was a relief to know Shouhei was all right and currently testing.

Izumo just now has to make sure Bandou does the same.

When Bandou finally comes out in the wheelchair, Izumo listens to the doctor telling him everything he needed to know, thanking him quietly before wheeling Bandou out. He waits until they're outside, glancing down at him.] How're ya feeling?

[chickshades]

[ He moves his arm slightly in the sling, glad that the pain has subsided a decent amount. ]

Better. Sort of.

[ Though, it's not the remaining pain that's keeping him from feeling completely better. ]

...Is Shouhei okay?

[ He knows Kusanagi-san must have called Totsuka-san. He's not the type to let things happen without any knowledge and Bandou would have been shocked to learn otherwise. ]

He's fine. A little scratched up, but fine. A lot better than how ya did. [But that's a given.

Izumo wheels Bandou to the van.] Totsuka told me he asked about ya, too.

[ Bandou shrugs at the first bit. He was used to Shouhei acting without thinking, just as much as he was used to jumping in an rescuing him. It wasn't something he felt like he needed to be repaid for or was going to hang over Shouhei's head. They were friends and he was going to watch out for him, even if that meant a broken arm.

And knowing he was okay was reassuring. ]

I hope Totsuka-san doesn't worry him too much. It's just a broken arm.

[The comment about Totsuka has Izumo chuckling even as he helps the injured into the passenger seat, buckling him in and leaving the wheelchair near the entrance of the hospital for the nurses to retrieve.

As he slips back into the van, it doesn't take long for him to start the engine and drive off.] Y'know how Totsuka can get. He might over exaggerate a bit.

D'ya wanna rest at home or at the bar?

[chickshades]

Bar. So I can give the idiot a smack on the head.

[ With his good hand, of course. That and he could really do with some food. First being drunk, the hungover, and now this whole charade, he needs more than just to lay down.

Ya might have ta wait first since Totsuka might wanna check up on ya first.

[But Izumo drives to the bar, anyway.]

[chickshades]

[ He groans a bit and slumps down in his seat. Not that he really minded Totsuka talking with him - in fact, he should probably thank him for letting him know what Shouhei was up to. ]

Can you at least tell him not to film me? I'm not in the mood to have a camera in my face.

[He chuckles, looking amused.]

Alright, but y'know he'll just want ta film ya more once you're better.

[chickshades]

That's fine.

[ He moves to adjust his hat slightly but instead just shifts his arm around in its sling. He's suddenly realized that it's his dominant arm that's busted up. ]

...Damnit.

[toremainbehind]

[Izumo glances over, but doesn't say anything further until they finally reach the bar. He parks in the back before he turning off the engine and exiting the car, soon going over to help Bandou out.]

[chickshades]

[ Bandou wobbles a bit as he hops out of the van, stabling himself against Kusanagi's shoulder with his free arm. He knows he's still angry with him over what happened, but he's grateful that Kusanagi still cares enough to take care of him. ]

Thanks again. [ His voice gets quiet, for once in his life. ]

I'm sorry about all this.

[A huff of a chuckle as he helps Bandou inside.]

All o'ya are troublemakers, but it'd be a pain in the ass if ya died.

[It's said in fond exasperation, mostly because he knows if anything happened, revenge will be hard for sure because no one ever messes with one of them.]

Ya left one hell o'a mess ta clean up, though.

[chickshades]

Only a pain in the ass??

[ He makes a slightly offended - yet also a bit disappointed face. ]

You wouldn't miss us?

[He chuckles as he pats Bandou's head, his expression softening when he notices that disappointed face.]

'course I would. Ya make things lively around here; it wouldn't be the same without any o'ya.

[chickshades]

[ Considering Kusanagi's only two inches taller than him, it's a little weird having the guy pat him on the head. He ducks slightly, not expecting it but still allowing it. He's seen him do that to a few of the other guys, but he can't recall ever being on the receiving end. Having his face grabbed, yes. But never head pats.

He recovers quickly enough at the comment, though.]

Eh... y-yeah. You'd all be bored without me around!

[toremainbehind]

That's why ya gotta take care, alright?

[But Izumo goes to help Bandou sit in the couch, where Anna makes room and Totsuka is already there asking if he's all right.]
