Headcanon sad tiems

[ There wasn't anything wrong with the party. There was food, everyone was having a good time, and Kamamoto's parents' new place was pretty nice. But well, there was only so much happy family time Bandou could take before his pettiness took over. Not that it could really be considered petty. Wanting a loving family is just a natural desire, right? Still, Bandou was finding it harder and harder not to scowl or voice a complaint with each passing happy moment.

So he bit his tongue and decided to excuse himself for the moment, slipping out the front door to sit on the steps outside and attempt to think about something else. ]

[ Eric was almost in the same boat as Bandou was. All the happiness and laughter didn't sit well with him. The kindness of Kamamoto's parents was making him feel sick. Sometimes little things made him see his own parents, when they had been happy, and sometimes those happy things turned into things much much worse.

Eric quietly slipped out of the house, wanting some air before it became to much for him. He blinked a bit, surprised to see Bandou out here but sat down beside him nonetheless, knees up to his chest. ]

[ He'd heard the door open and half expected it to be Shouhei wondering if he was okay. So he was not only surprised, but a bit relieved when it was Eric who sat down next to him. ]

[redstray]

[ He probably shouldn't have jumped as much as he had when Bandou opened his mouth but he did. Looking away because that means he didn't see totally. ]

Hey...

[chickshades]

[ Bandou didn't even notice Eric jump, he's too busy sighing heavily and staring out at whoknowswhat on the other side of the street. ]

Any idea how long this party's going?

[ There's definitely an air of annoyance to his question. He could probably just leave now but he doesn't wanna be an asshole. ]

[redstray]

[ He eyes Bandou after, so much sighing even for him ]

Who knows..too long.

[ He wants to go home. He wants to curl up in a ball and wait for tomorrow. ]

[chickshades]

You wanna leave too, huh?

[ He finally glances over to Eric. The guy's sitting there how he usually does. And while it usually doesn't phase him, tonight he totally gets the uncomfortable feeling. ]

[redstray]

[ He nods ]

The bar, is more peaceful. You too?

[chickshades]

The bar, home, wherever. Just not here right now.

[redstray]

[ He gives a small chuckle ]

Not like you to not want to be part of a party.

[chickshades]

Hey, shut up. I'm not gonna get wasted at a house warming party.

[ Though maybe the liquor would help get his mind off things. Probably not though. ]

[redstray]

That so?

[ He didn't think one needed to be drunk to be part of the party but he'll let it go. A spike of laughter filtered through from the inside of the house and Eric turned to look at the door. ]

They're having a lot of fun in there, huh?

[chickshades]

While we're out here feeling like shit.

[ He doesn't even bother looking towards the door. He's grumpy enough already. ]
