It's not like I didn't try, either! Everyone's just has to go and beat me at everything!

[ He's trying hard not to break down, but the alcohol isn't helping with that. He quickly stands up, stumbling a bit as he hurries off somewhere... the kitchen maybe? Anywhere Eric can't see him like this. ]

[ Beat him at everything...a lot of what Bandou did suddenly made more sense besides his petty attitude, maybe it was what MADE the petty attitude come to be.

And then he's off to where ever in his place and Eric stands up and slowly follows him. He's not great in these situations, he's not. He doesn't know what to do, hell, he can barely deal with himself half the time, but he wanted to try and help. ]

...Bandou...

[ He opened his mouth to say more but nothing came out, he just stood a little ways behind the emotional Bandou. Waiting to see if he was needed or if he could help. ]

[ It takes him a bit to say anything else. He's rubbing at his eyes, trying to keep from getting too emotional. The only one who's ever seen him like this is Shouhei. ]

I'm fine. I'm alright.

I mean why do I need them anyway? I have HOMRA, and we'll always be there for each other.

[ He finally turns to look at Eric, sniffing slightly. ]

[ He smiles a bit back ]

Homra is a better home, because we accept Bandou for who he is, and we'll always be there for you.

[chickshades]

[ Eric's smile definitely makes him feel better. It's not often the guy does it, so it says so much more when it does happen. He grins back his usual stupid grin.]

Thanks... And I'll always be there for the rest of you.

[ A moment and he groans slightly, rubbing at his forehead, a headache slowly forming. ]

ughhh... Maybe I shouldn't drink as much, huh?

[redstray]

[ Ah, there's the Bandou that's noisy again. ]

[ He tilts his head ]

Probably, it's not good for you.

[chickshades]

I just wanted to have a good time. Sorry for all this.

[ Gonna walk over and plop down on the couch again. ]

[redstray]

[ Eric follows him quietly and sits down beside him. ]

It's fine. You're not an angry or bad drunk.

[chickshades]

Yeah. I'm surprised he passed out. He doesn't usually drink that much.

[redstray]

What's the point? In drinking that much?

[chickshades]

Eventually you don't realize how much you've had. So then you have more. And then... that.

[ Pointing at Shouhei and finally laughing again. ]

He's gonna be so hung over tomorrow!

[redstray]

[ He looks at Shouhei as Bandou points to him and looks away. He had no interest in even starting to drink ]

So wait, have you never drank before? At all?

[redstray]

Once.

With Fujishima-kun?

[ He shakes his head ]

They thought it would be fun one day, to see how I acted drunk when I was twelve. They shoved bottles of alcohol down my throat until they decided it was enough.

[ His voice was quiet and began to feel as if he was going farther away, distancing himself from the story. ]

At first they thought it was funny as they tried to get me to obey their commands, but once they got bored they began to make their own fun. My owner...he began to...

[ He shook his head, closing his eyes. ]

I don't remember, but I woke up the next day barely able to move. One guy came and dragged me down the stairs to get me to work. I was so sick I puked on someone. That meant the cage for 2 days.

I don't like alochol

[ He blinks, pretty much speechless at that. Damn, despite what Eric said earlier, he really feels like his life is great compared to that. ]

Good thing Mikoto-san already took care of them.

[ He rubs at the back of his neck, feeling a little awkward. He's not super great at consoling people either. ]

I won't bug you about drinking anymore.

[redstray]

[ They each have a different pain. Bandou his family. Eric his past. But Eric couldn't even begin to feel what Bandou had gone though, for having ones own family not want you. That must have been truly painful. ]

They are gone now and that helps. But...the best help I've been tiven is through Homra, and everyone in it. Because if that...I think...I'm a bit better. Just like you are.

[ He gives out a small chuckle. Light and short ]

Thank you. And I won't bug you when you drink...useless you're angry. If...if that's alright?

[ He grins at that laugh. It was nice when the quiet kid opened up a bit. ]

You're a cool guy, Eric. I'm glad you joined us.

[redstray]

[ At the compliment Eric froze. His face reddened and he hastily brought up a hand to put up his hood. He's never been called cool before. ]

...Glad you all..let me join...

[chickshades]

Hey, if Mikoto-san didn't think you were good enough, you wouldn't have gotten the insignia.

[redstray]

[ His face would've been melted off instead ]

Yeah.

[ There's a small smile, happy that he can be a part of group that was really good to him. He blinked, thinking of something so he turns to the older one, tilting his head. ]

Hey...Bandou...How did you join Homra?

[chickshades]

I worked for Kusanagi-san for awhile. Cleaning glasses in the back.

[ He begged him for a job, but he leaves that bit out. Also, who needs to know about him getting fired for breaking things? ]

Totsuka-san stopped me one day on my way out and asked if I wanted to join.

[ He does pause there, frowning and looking to the side. ]

I'd wanted to before but didn't think it'd work out.

[ In other words, he was afraid of not being accepted there, either. ]

Heh...Bandou is a noisy idiot.

[ He also knows that feeling. He wasn't sure if he was going to be accepted or not. He could never ask if he could join, maybe that's why Mikoto just straight up put him in. ]

But, he's a good noisy idiot. One that Homra enjoys being around.

[ What about when Eric said it was better without Bandou there ;A; Bandou was about to defend himself against being called noisy and an idiot, but then Eric got to that last part. He smiled, gratefully. ]
