[ Perhaps it would have been better to just stay out of the kitchen. He didn't really need to go in there for anything, anyway. He could have just asked Kusanagi-san for a glass of water at the bar. But why bother him if he could just get it himself?

At least that's what he thought would be the better decision as he went in to check if there was a chilled pitcher in the fridge. He found one, but turning to reach for the cabinet door to find a glass, he met an obstruction. A very fragile and precisely stacked obstruction. ]

Ah shit--!!

[ First there was the shattering sound of the water pitcher, and then a larger crash was heard. Bandou cringed as he watched the tray of freshly washed wine glasses fall to the concrete floor, almost in slow motion. He nervously looked towards the doorway. If he could clean this up fast enough, then things would be fine. He could just claim the sound was his ringtone or something. Yeah, that would work.

Unfortunately for Bandou, the broom and dustpan wasn't within sight, probably sitting behind the bar or in the utility closet. So in a frenzy, he pulled his hat off his head and attempted to sweep up the mess as best, and as fast as he could. ]

[He orders Kamamoto to watch Bandou while Izumo works on ordering a new case of wine glasses.

It's a good way of letting Bandou some freedom without being watched obsessively by the barkeep.

However, Izumo isn't that mean. So when noon comes, Izumo claps his hands together to get Bandou's attention.]

[ Bandou probably could have slacked off a decent amount with Kamamoto watching him. But it's getting really close to noon. So he's down on hand and knee, trying to see if he missed anything under the long tables when Kusanagi-san claps. It startles him and he hits up, knocking his head on the edge of the table. ]

Ah! Damnit...

[Izumo sighs softly as Bandou hits his head. Shaking his head at the sight, he heads over to where Bandou is, a cigarette placed in his mouth and he snaps his fingers to light it, having left his own lighter in the back from earlier.

He raises an eyebrow.] How's the cleaning going?

[ Bandou's sitting on the floor, rubbing at the sore spot on his head. He mumbles his answer, sounding a bit irritated that now he's got a cut up hand and a headache. ]

nnngh...good. I think I got everything.

I'll be the judge o' that. [Izumo scans the place, looking through every crevice to make sure Bandou really did get everything.

When he doesn't see anything that stands out to him, he nods.] Alright, ya did a good job. Go get some ice for your head, if it hurts; otherwise, you're free ta go.

[ And Bandou will just sit there and watch as Kusanagi-san checks every little nook and cranny, nervously hoping the guy isn't too picky. He almost winces when Kusanagi-san starts to talk again, automatically assuming that he'll tell him to redo it.

But instead he gets praise! Which really isn't something he gets often, unless you count Shouhei. ]

Really?

[ He gets a stupid grin on his face, ego inflating just a bit from that. ]

Really. [He sees that, the corners of his lips twitching just the slightest.

For now, he won't let that ego deflate. For now.] But if ya go inta the kitchen without my permission again, you're gonna be work here for a month and clean everything — no breaks.

[ The grin stays on until Kusanagi gives him that stern warning. Bandou's hands immediately go up defensively. ]

No, no I'll stay out! Promise!

[ He's glad to be getting out of this situation so easily. ]

But uh, could I get a drink at the bar?

[ He never quite got that glass of water, to begin with. Better ask permission this time. ]

[Izumo gives him a look before he nods.]

Just one drink, though.

[He heads behind the bar to get Bandou a glass of water.] Just try not to break the glass.

[ He takes a seat on one of the bar stools and pulls the glass to him. He stares at it a moment, almost getting a pout on his face. He was kinda hoping Kusanagi would have interpreted what he'd asked for as him wanting a drink drink. Though disappointed, he sips at it anyway. ]

You're not gonna make me actually pay for the glasses, are you?

[ Cleaning would be annoying, but it'd better than giving up his measly paycheck. Or a few of them. Those glasses were probably more expensive than they needed to be. ]

[Izumo's not likely to give him a drink right now. He's still not happy with his broken glasses and Bandou entering the kitchen without his permission.

Though, at the question, he raises an eyebrow.] D'ya want ta pay for 'em? Those were all imports, so they'll cost a fortune.

[ Yeah, it was a long shot, but doesn't mean he can't be grumpy about it. Especially considering he has no concept of how fast he gets drunk or how much louder it makes him. ]

No! Of course not!

[ Damn it, why'd he even ask? ]

[At least be happy Izumo's giving you something to drink, Bandou.

He smiles.]

O'course, if ya insist on paying it, I'll have no problem with it at all either.

[ Flailing! ]

N-no! I can hardly pay for my crappy apartment, as it is!!

[A grin as he chuckles.]

Then don't ask next time, otherwise I'll really make ya pay for it.

Fine... I was just making sure.

Now, go ahead and hang out with the rest o' the guys. 'm sure ya wanna go out and have fun than ta spend here all day.

Yeah, okay.

[ He finishes his water, being super careful with the glass as he slides it to Kusanagi. Then he hops off the seat and wanders over to the other guys. A few of them are still snickering at him getting punished and, of course, he can't help but yell at them to shut up. ]

[Izumo shakes his head at the sight before he goes to make a call.

If the boys (or Bandou) starts to get too loud, he'll tell them to quiet down so he can talk properly.]

Pay your respects to the bar.
