[ Bandou pauses suddenly, looking back to the warehouse his gang pretty much blew up. Shit. ]

Hey, are you gonna need a place to stay?

[ He tilts his head, thinking ]

I suppose so? But I can sleep outside, if you want

[ He's used to that too. ]

I wouldn't tell you to sleep outside.

[ He was homeless for a period of time between leaving home and joining homra anyway. It's not exactly a good time. ]

Shouhei will probably be fine with you staying with us, and if not, Kusanagi-san would let you sleep on the couch at the bar.

[ It's really not ]

You mean like a real place?

[ No warehouse floor? No dirty scarps of blankets in a cold room? To sleep on a couch would be a luxury.]

Yeah, if you don't mind a couch.

It's better than a floor.

Definitely. It's a comfortable couch, too.

As long, as it's okay...to stay on it for awhile...

Mikoto-san and Totsuka-san practically live on them. Anna-chan too, sometimes. So it'd probably be fine.

Ah...

[ He opened his mouth to say something else, like who thise were, but the heaviness came back, the pain sharp and burning. He tripped and collasped on his knee, slightly in a fog. He had reached his limit days ago but he still kept going.]

[ Bandou heard the thud and turned. Most probably would have just let Eric deal with it himself, but he was a member of HORMA now. And though Bandou would probably whine about what Eric had done to him at some point in the future, he wasn't going to treat him like he didn't matter.

So, he extends a hand out, willing to lift the kid up if he needed the help. ]

You gonna be okay?

[ When Bandou put his hand out, Eric closed his eyes and flinched, expecting something else. ]

I'm fine...

[ He tries to get up by himself, but halfway through his legs decide to bring him back to the ground. He looks up worriedly at the hand, but his hands remain at his side as he tries to get back up on his own. ]

[ Don't worry, Eric, Bandou won't punch you unless you do something especially stupid. Instead he kneels down and slings one of Eric's arms over his shoulder, giving him better support to stand. ]

You're probably hungry, aren't you?

[ The kid was skinny enough that he probably wasn't fed well. ]

[ He tries to move away from Bandou as he reaches down and gives a small noise like a squeak. The support is a mild freaking out, wincing a bit because ow that just hurts his arm and ribs. ]

N-no no...I'm fine.

[ He says this as his stomach makes a noise. He grabs his stomach trying to make it quiet. ]

[ Bandou senses the discomfort and lets Eric go. ]

I'm not gonna hurt you, alright? Even though you punched me and kicked me in the stomach.

[ You had punched him as well you don't see him complaining about it, another reason why he doesn't believe him for it. He stumbles but catches himself and begins to walk again albeit a bit more slowly ]

Words don't mean anything. Nothing but hollow.

Fine.

[ He stands and shoves his hands in his pockets, walking ahead of Eric. ]

I told you you could do whatever you wanted now. If you don't want my help, or want to believe me, then fine.

[ Eric blinks in surprise at the sudden change but lowers his head and follows silently behind him, trying to keep up.

His head was swarming, he wasn't sure what to believe, he was tired, hungry and in pain. He didn't have Hikawa anymore, his world was gone and he was following someone into another.

He could run still. Where? Maybe one of Hikawa's partners. Why? He knows a few they would keep the collar on his neck. Back to what he knew. He didn't know Homra, didn't know this freedom. But he said he would help them. That could be a lie no problem. Run away. Stay. Leave them. Help them. He shook his head, repeating in English under his breath. ]

Shut up...shut up...shut up.

[ Bandou could hear some kind of mumbling behind him and he turned to find Eric had decided to follow along, after all. But he was saying something Bandou didn't quite understand. Was it even directed at him? ]

Hmm?

[ He jumps a bit when he notices Bandou heard him, he clamps his mouth shut and puts his eyes to the ground ]

Nothing...

Come on. Let's get you something to eat.

[ Going with the original plan because he has no clue how long he was knocked out, but he's feeling rather hungry himself. ]

...So weird...

[ He mumbles out, even though his stomach was protesting in hunger. It was weird to just be offered something. ]

[ Bandou didn't have much money to begin with, even less coming in now that this interview was completely blown. So he's probably going to lead him to some kind of convenience store to get a quick drink and snack of some kind. ]

We can get something better later.

( Since Bandou's in like dressy clothes, without any of his accessories, it'd be funny if next time Eric sees him he's like, 'who's this guy?' )

[ He trailed after pretty closely to Bandou as he wandered into the store.

Eric stared at the food. It was clean, still in the wrapper, in one piece, still fresh food. And it was for him. ]

This is for me?

(He will be like wheres Bandou and he'll be like over here you idiot and Eric will be like what? XD)

Yeah, pick something. I don't have much cash though, so don't go overboard.

[ He'll be over here looking at something overly salty and unhealthy. ]
