He certainly doesn't want to be visible to all these people he's cared about--wouldn't that just hurt them more? They might get to see him for a while, like Izumo, but they don't know when he'll simply fade away. Maybe he'll still be there, but they won't be able to see him or hear him. But then, the ghost never has a choice in the matter.
