WINTER COMIKET 201XX!!!
Because we wanted nerds being nerds and conventions are a thing.
PROMPTS!
1. Can't get in - You snooze, you lose. Didn't get up early enough? Well too bad. Now you're stuck in line, either in front of the convention center or at the train station. Are you willing to wait in line? Try to bust in? Or maybe a kind friend has saved your space for you. Or maybe an asshole has decided to try and muscle their way in front.
2. On the main floor - The main draw of comiket are (of course), the tables held by various doujinshi circles. Whether you've been here before or got dragged by a friend, it seems bigger and busier than you ever thought it could be. There are thousands of tables selling everything from doujin to merchandise as well as the occasional booth from a video game company or a publisher announcing this season's anime. Better make sure your friends are still within reach. It's pretty easy to get lost in the sea of sellers, buyers and cosplayers. Also you might want to note that thanks to JUNGLE, members of Scepter 4 and HOMRA have been getting pretty popular so... don't be surprised if you suddenly catch doujinshi and merchandise with your mug on the cover.and possibly shipped with someone you know or might not have even spoken to
3. I need a break - Maybe that's just way too much excitement for you for one day but you need a breather. Back outside, there are refreshment stands at least so you can grab a snack if you want. Of course, you'll probably have to step around all the people hanging around and playing video games or dodge the occasional circle of cosplay photographers.
Or whatevs!
Go crazy!

STARTING WITH 1
But somehow he'd managed, and with slightly over what he needed for his pass in his wallet, he entered the convention center's main hall. Only to stop and gawk at how long the line for tickets was. With an annoyed click of his tongue, he made his way to the end, trying to keep his cool when two girls slid into line before him. At least they were cute, or they would have gotten an earful!
It'd only been five minutes and Bandou's patience was running short. He scanned the snaking line ahead of him, trying to wage how much longer this was gonna be when someone caught his eye. Hey...he knew that person! ...he didn't want to admit he knew him, but still, that could be his "ticket in", so to speak! Not hesitating on the notion, he lifted up one of the elastic belts on the line separators and scooted underneath, making sure everyone he was cutting knew that his friend was up there and they better move aside to let him through.
And when he got close enough, he called to the guy so no one thought he was making things up. ]
Oi, Blue!

But thanks to a pile of reports that had to be made last night, he didn't wake up in time. It was only five missed calls and twenty texts from his circle later that he realized he had overslept and would end up having to miss the first wave of customers.
It's when he's lined up and fishing for his own circle's pass that Bandou calls out to him -- except he doesn't know he's being called out to from the start. That sudden yell of "Oi, Blue!" is heard but it's only then he starts looking around to spot Bandou approaching. ]
Ex... cuse me?
[ Oh no... what did he do this time? ]
no subject
He steps up beside Enomoto, shoving his hands into his pockets. ]
Yeah, thanks for holding that spot for me.
[ He makes sure the group behind him can hear, but the comment hardly sounds grateful or sincere. ]
no subject
[ So much for being able to avoid work for the day. But maybe this was for the better. If there was a red here, at least he could kind of keep an eye on him for now. Well... he wasn't causing any trouble and they did kind of know each other from work... in a way.
Saburota Bandou. He knew him from the files they had on HOMRA. ]
So.... I didn't think you'd make it this year...
[ No use blowing the guy's cover. He wasn't making trouble anyway and the others don't seem to be around. ]
no subject
[ He's not even trying to make "normal" conversation this time, this anger is sincere! Seems like he's forgotten he's talking with the enemy, for the moment at least. ]
I had to borrow money from the guys. Now I owe Dewa almost ¥4000!!
no subject
Give him a second to shift the boxes he has in his hands while they inch forward toward the door. ]
Is anyone else coming? I'm willing to bet they probably beat you inside if you're stuck out here.
no subject
[ It's only when Enomoto moves that Bandou even notices what he's carrying. Maybe he should help the guy out? It looks like a lot of stuff. ]
What is all that, anyway?
no subject
[ And another shift. There's two boxes he's balancing, both sealed and fairly small enough to fit in his arms but they look to be loaded, at least. That and a couple of long banners have been rolled up and are poling out of the knapsack over his shoulder.
Give him another pause as he pushes his glasses up his nose with his free hand. ]
My circle's selling again this year. They've already set up the table and I'm stuck out here with half our stock.
no subject
[ Currious now, he takes the top box with a dumb grin on his face. ]
Got any hot girl on girl stuff?
[ Alas, the box is sealed shut so he can't peek inside. ]
no subject
[ He's grateful for the assist but he's never really been good at talking about his work. That's probably half the reason why he leaves his stuff with his circle. Have a small sheepish grin at his question though. So that's what he's into? Pretty normal.
But hey, they've moved another couple of inches. ]
Looks like we're almost at the door.
no subject
The line better keep moving. I'm supposed to meet someone soon.
no subject
[ He pauses to shift the boxes though just so he can check his watch. ]
I was just going to leave this with my circle then go to the game demos. One of my guildmates wanted to meet up when I told him I was going.
no subject
[ Maybe it's not so weird, it was obviously the best part of the convention. Still, he goes a bit silent
for once. He's just now realized he's still having a perfectly decent conversation with a Blue.Instead, the next few minutes of waiting are punctuated by him sighing impatiently. But eventually, the line lets up and it's their turn. He replaces the box he'd been holding back on top of the other one still in Enomoto's hand, and takes it upon himself to go ahead of the other guy.
He pauses for a second, though.]
Uh, good luck with selling your stuff, I guess?
[ Awkward goodbye is awkward. ]
no subject
[ Tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. Despite that being his reasoning, he isn't dumb, Bandou. Some part of him kind of wonders if the levelling partner he's actually been hanging out with online was actually a red.
But hey, it's a big world. That isn't outside the realm of possibility.
They spend the rest of the line in awkward silence, or at least that's what Eno thinks. Time seems to crawl though and it's only when Bandou returns his box that he realizes That they're almost at the door. At that, he'll just nod back since it's the closest thing he can get to a somewhat bow. ]
Thanks. You... ah... keep out of trouble!
[ What the hell. He's not even on the clock!
But a quick glance at his watch tells him he's got five minutes to get to their table and dump this stuff off before trying to confirm his little theory about Bandou being the person he was meeting up with. ]
no subject
I'm not gonna cause trouble!
[ He says as he backs into a group of con-goers and nearly loses his balance. He catches himself, though, and tries to look like everything is cool as he proceeds into the convention center.
Around 15 minutes later, Bandou strolls into the gaming hall. Blizzard has quite a large set up this year and Bandou heads over, not only to check out the previews of what's to come but to see if his meet-up has shown up yet. ]
For Eric~
But Enomoto had to go to the dealers room to sell some of his product, so now Bandou was sitting around waiting for the next event he wanted to attend to start. Which wasn't for about three hours. And feeling like he had to make up for his association with the Blues, he thumbed his way through his contacts. Most of the guys were at work or just didn't want to go. He figured Dewa would be interested, but considering he lent him most of the money he needed to get his own ticket, maybe he should just avoid the guy for now. He hovered over Eric's name - he'd definitely be free, but would he care enough to go? Whatever he's giving him a call anyway. ]

Hello?

[ Who needs to say hello when you can get straight to the point? ]

[ He pauses, thinking about where that was. ]
Don't know where that is.

Fine, I'll be there soon.
no subject
[ He actually didn't think it'd be that easy to convince Eric, so he was mid offer when the guy agreed. Just play it off like you never said anything, Bandou. ]</small I mean, yeah good! I'll be out front.
no subject
[ Since Bandou mentioned it so nicely of him, he won't say no. He heard. Meanwhile now he's trying to figure how to actually get there. ]
no subject
Tch Fine, three.
See you soon.
[ He'll hang up now and go lean against the building outside, tapping at his PDA to entertain himself. And probably checking out any cute girls that walk by in awesome cosplays. ]
no subject
What is all this?
no subject
[ Said all so proud cause obviously it's the most awesome thing ever. ]
no subject
[ So helpful, Bandou. so helpful. ]
no subject
A huge doujinshi fair! And they've got some gaming stuff going on, too. It's pretty awesome.
no subject
[ He looked around, spotting some girls in weird clothes before staring back at him ]
Are these your weird hobbies and fetishes again?
no subject
[ He gestures out at all the people around. ]
All these people are into it, too.
no subject
[ There really were quite a lot. ]
Why bring me into this then when you can talk to someone else?
no subject
Cause the next event's not for a few hours. And now you get to experience something new! See, good thing you showed up!
no subject
[ He hasn't been told so why would he know? ]
So what do you do here?
no subject
[ He shifts on his feet, raising his arms up and behind his head. ]
I'd check out the dealer's room, but I don't have any money to blow this year.
[ Which is obviously not his own fault. ]
no subject
[ Ah it all makes sense now. ]
That's why you told me to bring money.
no subject
[ He looks way too excited about all this. ]
The games are free to play. But we're gonna need food and there's definitely gonna be some stuff I'll want in the dealer's room.
