Ghost AU (Ghostsuka + Eric)
[ Eric yawned, tired from school and helping out another ghost go over to the other side. It wasn't that he wanted to help, it just meant one less spirit to bug him for doing something that would let them leave him alone. A bag of convenience store food in one hand and his other in a pocket, he made his way slowly back home.
He couldn't remember a time when he never saw these things. His parents shrugged it off as imaginary friends and over active imagination as he got older. But when they started to tell him he was getting too old for these kind of stories, he stopped telling them all together. He thought he could tell his friends at school but with all the teasing and bullying that came after the stories disappeared as well. He was getting better at least figuring out who was real and who was a ghost. The looks he got when it looked like he was talking to himself were hardly good.
His parents were gone for so long that he couldn't remember when they were home last. They were gone for business a lot, traveling around Japan and other Asian countries, which was why they moved here to be closer to their business. So that left him alone with their home, his schoolwork and the many spirits wandering around aimlessly in the city. ]

I can barely cook, there's either no time or no food. Instant was just faster. I guess having a skill like this is pretty useful.

Maybe I was the same before I started to learn. For all I know, it might've been the only way I'd get food--can't get instant if you've got no money, right?

Good food usually makes the rest of your life feel better too, I think, so I probably just kept at it.
[Hm...] Would you like to learn? When you aren't too busy with school and other ghosts, I mean.
Who would be the water seraph? Yata Fushimi or Kamamoto?
He pauses a bit at the offer, kind of surprised by the sudden question.
He shrugs, fiddling with his fork a bit. ]

That's what practice is for, isn't it?

like i did earlier todaywhen he was starting out, not that he can remember it now.]There's little that most people are good at right away, I think. And even if you're good at first, you can always get better.
