O Brother Where Art Thou?
[ Eric walked his way over to the area where a meeting was going to be taken place. Something urgent. They got him out of his room an everything, so it must be serious if they were using him.
His eyes drifted over the warehouse that had been his home for a long time. Ever since they moved after an incident, this has been their headquarters. He blinked, trying to remember what the incident was...ah...his brother escaped, wasn't it? Izumo had ran away and left Eric here with the consequences of his actions.
He tilts his head. When did his brother leave here? Leave him? A few years now wasn't it? He vaguely wondered if he was still alive, or was he enjoying his freedom after abandoning his brother. He frowned, trying forget about those thoughts as he felt anger. Now wasn't the time. The leader was talking about a thorn in their side, and how they might snuff it out.
Ah, Homra again?
The name kept popping up here and there, they were becoming a bit more of a problem with each passing day. Their borders clashing even more as their territory expands.
The leader barked at him, telling him to get ready. Eric could only nod, wandering over to retrieve his knife. Looks like things were finally moving forward. He had a job to do, there was nothing else that mattered, right?
A vague image of his brother flashed in his mind and he smiled, vicious and full of teeth. Yeah, nothing else mattered, anymore. ]

[ The punch has Eric shrinking back, unsure of the attack but bracing for more if neccessary.
Stop complaong and know your brother...easier said then done, but he kept his mouth shut. At the notion of bringing Izumo to the hospital he glances at the wound...thay defintely needed to be looked at. He scoffed. ]
You always were a reckless idiot.

[His tone is jovial even as he's practically manhandled out of the bar. And by manhandled, Mikoto has decided to pick him up and drape him over his shoulder, mindful of the knife wound.
Totsuka looks amused, smiling at Eric and gesturing for him to come long. They might as well make sure both brothers are okay.]
Its all good the hurt was good
[ He tilts his head as he sees his brother getting lifted up and follows along at Totsuka's prodding. Though he was not happy about it. Doctors, were not fun. ]
How long can we last before the hurt creeps in again
Apparently Izumo gets manhandled a lot in Homra.
But as they get into the van, they're greeted by another redhead who introduces himself as Fujishima. He looks a bit put off when he sees the knife in Izumo's side, but Totsuka gently veers Eric to sit in the front seat with Fujishima while he and Mikoto makes sure Izumo doesn't bleed out as he's brought to the back.]
Only time will tell
Eric just nods his head to Fujishima, not in a social mood, though when is he ever. He kept looking back to his brother, trying to digest everything that's happen in just the past few hours. His brother was here, he's lost his gang and he was driving to a hospital to get himself and his brother checked out. Going there still didn't sit well with him and he curled up a bit smaller in the car.
This was a really...interesting day. ]

After getting checked in the hospital with both brothers being recommended to possibly see a psychiatrist as well after learning that Izumo had stabbed himself. Really, it was thanks to Totsuka that Izumo just didn't get checked out into an asylum instead.
But conditions had been made and Eric would have found himself with a new room in the bar.
It's night and after all the customers left, Izumo can be found sitting at the bar, nursing a drink and sighing, pressing a hand against his forehead.]

He blinks, seeing his brother at the counter. He scratches one of the bandages on his arm, he hated having these. ]
You okay?

[He lowers his drink, looking over at him.]
What about you? It still must be a lot for you to handle.

[ He frowns, avoiding his gaze. ]
I...I don't know...

[Izumo studies him before he returns to his drink, taking a sip.]

It eventually gets better in time - being here, being...[A small scoff.] Free, I suppose. I can tell you for sure that I haven't exactly been the easiest to been around either when they first found me, but I owe those two guys everything.

We both are. [It's an indirect 'yes', but not for the reasons Eric may think.] There are different types of cowardice, after all.

[ He takes his finger and traces the lip of the glass for awhile. ]
How are you? Feeling, I guess...

[A pause and he glances over.]
What about you, Eric? How are you feeling?

[ He wasn't used to expressing himself so he was quiet for a long time, trying to put some feelings into words. And he asked, so all he can do is try and be honest. ]
Confused...scared? I...I'm happy that you found me again, but I...I hate you so much too...I'm sorry...is, is that bad?
[ He rubs one of his arms. A few years of manipulation doesn't dispel after a couple of days. There was still a part of him that did want to hurt his brother, run away from him. But there was another that just wanted to hold him and never let him go. He missed his brother. ]
There's...nothing that I know exists anymore. It's...just something I have to get used to. After everything, all I can feel is tired. I'm sorry.

[He can understand that feeling. He had been terrible, wanting nothing more than to lash out against Mikoto and fight; his instincts telling him to fight.
He couldn't even imagine how Eric can handle it.
Reaching over, he places his hand on top of his younger brother's head.]
I understand how it feels. Right now, we have...time to get adjusted.

He closed his eyes as he felt the hand on his head. A feeling he missed from his brother and his shoulders sagged as he just brought himself to the days before his brother had been gone.
He wasn't alone anymore. ]
I missed you, so much...It's...it's going to take a long time but...things will change.

I'm here for you, Eric, even if I can't fix my mistakes from the past.

[ His brother, the only familiar thing he had now. What connected him to existing here. He looked down, slumping a bit further. Just something else to get use to, another world to go in. ]

[There's still much adjustment to be had, so much to grow accustomed to.
Izumo hums softly.]

But, to stay like that again...it would be nice.
He fidgets with his hair, looking away before he nods, then glancing back up, uncertain. ]

[Izumo gives him a comforting smile.
He tries not to think what might be going through his brother's mind. For all intents and purposes, Eric has a right to hate him. To never want to trust him again.]

He wanted to give in, give in to the trust, to the obeying.
He can't trust his voice, can't even look at him but, he nods. If it was like before...maybe it'll be okay. ]
