Ghost AU (Ghostsuka + Eric)
[ Eric yawned, tired from school and helping out another ghost go over to the other side. It wasn't that he wanted to help, it just meant one less spirit to bug him for doing something that would let them leave him alone. A bag of convenience store food in one hand and his other in a pocket, he made his way slowly back home.
He couldn't remember a time when he never saw these things. His parents shrugged it off as imaginary friends and over active imagination as he got older. But when they started to tell him he was getting too old for these kind of stories, he stopped telling them all together. He thought he could tell his friends at school but with all the teasing and bullying that came after the stories disappeared as well. He was getting better at least figuring out who was real and who was a ghost. The looks he got when it looked like he was talking to himself were hardly good.
His parents were gone for so long that he couldn't remember when they were home last. They were gone for business a lot, traveling around Japan and other Asian countries, which was why they moved here to be closer to their business. So that left him alone with their home, his schoolwork and the many spirits wandering around aimlessly in the city. ]

Getting set for school and all packed up Eric wandered downstairs, thinking maybe the ghost wasn't there anymore. ]
Good morning...
no subject
[Nope, the ghost is still here. And being awfully cheerful for being...around at this hour of the morning.
Also, remember that thought about him making a bento? He did. It's on the counter.]
Hungry?
no subject
Ah...yeah.
[ He was pretty hungry and he had wnough time to have breakfast for a few more minutes at least. He sits down at the table ]
You really were serious about making me food...
no subject
[He knows Eric doesn't really know him, but...why would a ghost say that and not follow through? It's not like he has anything else to do...
But since Eric's sitting down, Tatara places some of the "extras" from the lunch in front of him along with a simple sandwich.]

[ He was used to people going back on their word, ghosts were no different.
He stared at the food placed in front of him and starts to eat, pausing to look up at the ghost. ]
It's good. Thank you.
no subject
[It's said gently, more like he's sad that that was Eric's expectation rather than offended that that was Eric's expectation of him.]
I'm glad! [Wouldn't it have been awful if this food that he cooked turned out to be terrible instead?]
no subject
[ He puts the fork down and looks up at the ghost. He had thought about it and looked up a few words and such. It was the best name but...if he didn't want to use it that was up to him. ]
How about...Tozuna? For your name.
no subject
Tozuna...Zuna, Tona, Tozuna, Tozu... [Feel free to tell him to stop repeating it and rearranging the syllables.]
no subject
[ He tried to combine 10 bonds: Toe and Kizuna. He wanted to call him something besides ghost. ]
no subject
[How do you describe something that feels like home and also foreign? He can tell that it wasn't his name, but it's close enough.]
If you need to, I think it's okay.
no subject
[ He wasn't expecting that. ]
As long as you don't mind.
no subject
[He waves a hand.]
I'll tell you if I do. Go back to eating. You don't want to be late for school because you were talking with a ghost, right?
no subject
[ He started eating again enjoying the food. A breakfast he hasn't had in a long time.]
Wouldn't be the first time...
no subject
[Sounds to him like they were newly dead. He sure feels like he has all the time in the world. Maybe it comes with no longer sleeping or needing to eat...
He'll...still ask questions while Eric's eating though.]

no subject
[Why rush when he literally has all the time in the world to do anything he wants?
But also, wow that was directed at him.]
no subject
Must be strange. Not even remebering a time you were alive. Not a lot of ghosts I've seen are like that.
no subject
[More than that, he doesn't.]
I think we might have adopted a daughter? But I'm not sure that wasn't just how we felt about her.
no subject
[ Some ghosts only remembered the bad times, and were generally violent. He was glad at least this one seemed docile enough.
A daughter huh? He wondered what he meant by that. Would she be the same age as...Eric shook his head, stopping the though.
He stood up from his meal, looking at the time. ]
I should get going.
no subject
[But he doesn't sound terribly bothered by it.
He follows Eric's gaze to the time and nods, smiling at the boy.]
Enjoy something while you're gone, and come back safe then.
no subject
[ He grabs his lunch box and school bag, trying to remember if everything was in there. ]
Yeah...thanks...See you.
[ As Eric left his house, locking it up, he had to wonder if this guy would still be there when he came back. He cooked for him sure but that must be boring for him and maybe he wants to do something else now.
It didn't really matter if he did or not. He would leave eventually. But right now, Eric had to focus on school and not getting into any ghost trouble along the way. ]
no subject
...now what will he do? He doesn't want to snoop in Eric's room by cleaning, and cleaning the rest of the house would probably just be a reminder that the parents aren't present so...
Maybe there's an interesting book somewhere, since he's sure he'd just cause trouble by watching something while Eric's away.
When Eric comes home, he's reading.]

Until he felt an arm wrap around his shoulder and the annoying voice of one of his classmates. Along with three others pitching in.
They liked calling him Ghost Kid, whether it was because he saw ghosts or was about as visible as one he didn't know. What he did know was that they liked to poke fun of him and bully him any chance they could get.
Today they decided since Eric had a bento lunch for once instead of something in a wrapper, to grab it from him only half finished and throw it on his uniform. He really need to stop being so clumsy with his ghostly hands, dropping things all the time.
They only stopped with their stupid jokes when another student told them off. It was Fujishima, that weird student that just helped everyone. He smiled at him, offering some paper towels. He snapped at him for the help, to just leave him alone before going to the washroom and trying to clean the mess himself. He didn't need anyone's pity.
He comes back home with no trouble following him at least, school was exhausting enough for one adventure. He didn't feel like dealing with ghosts for today.
Except...there was one ghost currently reading a book in his home as if he owned the place. ]
You're still here, huh?
[ He takes off his stained uniform jacket and shoves it into the nearby washer with a few of his other clothes that needed to be cleaned. ]
Thanks for the lunch...it was good.
no subject
He sets down the book (something about history? who reads those for fun...) with a bright smile.]
I'm glad! You've got more homework to do or something, right? Let me know what you want to eat and I'll cook it for you.
[You have a ghost parent now maybe, congratulations Eric.]
no subject
Ah...yeah...
[ The last thing he wanted right now was food, or dealing with people, even if they were dead. ]
I'm not in the mood to eat. Just go back to what you were doing. Maybe later...

i just realized his memory thing is like if he died and became a seraph....
Seraph Totsuka! A fire seraph or a light one?
because of how he "gets attached" maybe actually wind? we don't have light examples anyway
The wind that calms the fire
terrible plan since he'd be weak to fire...but yep
Maybe that would mean Mikoto wouldn't go as hard as he would if Totsuka was there
maybe! :|a
Just imagining green tipped hair Totsuka just being all ~:3~ with Mikoto and Kusanagi
chokes, what would they be in that kind of au
Mikoto Fire and Kusanagi Fire or Earth? Or the Shepherd XD
fire mikoto and earth izumo could work! anna is clearly the sheps
Who would be the water seraph? Yata Fushimi or Kamamoto?
a good question, probably fushimi or kamamoto
Kamamoto would be interesting
hahaha, and he's probably one of the first guys they got outside of trio in the clan
